Telecommunications Solution
Customer:
This NEDC customer
is a fully owned subsidiary of a leading developer of now and
next generation
switching and signaling telecommunications solutions, business
intelligence
tools and value-added applications throughout North America &
Europe.
Customer Challenge: When
the customer was acquired they immediately
acquired several high volume opportunities. Each solution required an
“off-the-shelf”
NEBS level 3 hardware platform upon which a custom platform could be
built. With limited engineering, support
and
installation resources the customer turned to NEDC to develop a
solution.
NEDC
Solution: NEDC immediately
appointed resources to the development, implementation, and management
of the
project. We sourced an Intel based “OTS” NEBS level 3, 2U rack-mount
server.
NEDC applied best practices to include hardware purchasing/inventory
management, serial number tracking & integration services including
loading
Windows Server OS and customer specific testing, and NEDC’s 7x24
support &
installations services.
Success
in Partnering: Our
customer has now upgraded to this platform and is easily able to meet
large
volume requirements. NEDC has become the virtual integration and
manufacturing
arm for this particular customer. Total time elapsed from first contact
to initial
shipment of the NEBS solution to market was approximately 6 weeks.
